Farewell, O books! Our parting pleasures
Now we gladly tell.
The last you’ll see of them and me!
Old schoolhouse, it’s farewell.
We thank the friends who heard us sing,
We thank the old school bell.
To them, to you, to everyone
We loudly sing, “Farewell!”

We’re coming, woods! We’re coming, hills!
We’re surely on our way.
In poems we have so little space
A proper word to say.
A word that would express our joy
This lovely month of May.
We’re coming, trees! We’re comin, brooks!
Graduation is here! HURRAY!
